Rafferty the Wrecker undertook asbestos removal and demolition works across five buildings at Sunshine College. The project was completed in two stages, beginning with the separation and demolition of part of the Commerce Wing, followed by the complete demolition of the Trade Building.

Asbestos removal was completed before demolition commenced. Non-friable asbestos was removed by licensed Rafferty workers, while a licensed specialist subcontractor undertook the friable asbestos removal. The works required a staged approach to manage the demolition and hazardous materials removal in a school environment.
