Royal Melbourne Hospital - Parkville
Partial hospital demolition, including portable buildings, steel framing, façade elements and balconies for a new ICU lift.

Rafferty the Wrecker undertook demolition works at Royal Melbourne Hospital, 300 Grattan Street, Parkville, to facilitate the construction of a new ICU lift. The scope included removal of an existing two-level portable building constructed from sandwich panels, with the upper level supported by a steel frame and concrete footings.
Works also involved partial demolition of the northern façade of an existing multi-storey concrete and steel-framed building, including structural and non-structural elements. Sections of the existing balconies were removed to accommodate the new lift shaft extending from ground level to Level 9.
