Monash University Clayton - Chancellery, 3A & 3B

Demolition of two three-level university buildings, including hazardous materials removal and services diversions.

Demolition of Buildings 3A and 3B at Monash University Clayton Campus, including connecting structures.

Rafferty the Wrecker undertook the demolition of Buildings 3A and 3B at Monash University's Clayton Campus. The two three-level buildings, comprising basement, ground and first-floor levels, included reinforced concrete and loadbearing blockwork structures. Works also included demolition of connecting walkways and links to Robert Blackwood Hall.

The project involved hazardous building materials removal and diversion of existing services that supplied surrounding buildings. With occupied university facilities and major pedestrian routes nearby, the demolition methodology was carefully planned in coordination with Monash University and the external project manager to minimise disruption to campus operations and meet the required handover dates.
