Rafferty the Wrecker undertook demolition works at Melbourne Place, 130 Russell Street, Melbourne, involving the removal of three existing buildings and associated structures across 124–134 Russell Street. The scope included a five-level mixed-use brick building with a plant room at 124–130 Russell Street, a two-level retail brick building at 132 Russell Street, and a two-level retail brick building at 134 Russell Street.

The works involved demolition within a constrained Melbourne CBD site, with an adjoining building to remain. Hand demolition was specified for the adjoining wall to help separate the structures and protect the retained building.
