Rafferty the Wrecker undertook hazardous materials removal and demolition works at Le Méridien, 20–30 Bourke Street, Melbourne. The project involved the demolition of a three-storey brick structure, with the additional basement section retained.

Works included removal of hazardous materials in accordance with the relevant audit, installation of an external steel façade retention system (gantry), and creation of an opening in the adjacent building at 35 Little Bourke Street to facilitate demolition and provide access. The works required a staged approach to demolition, with façade retention measures to protect the structure being retained.
